e.g. behavior during bends or new POF index profiles -
Light emission from optical sources,
e.g. even back illumination of displays - Defined emission of fiber ends
Problems can usually be solved to a high degree using optical simulation programs (raytracing), thus limiting expensive and complex experimental work to a minimum.
