Fluorinated Graded Index POF
Using a parabolic index profile the differences in transit time are nearly eliminated. The use of fluorinated polymer (CYTOP® from Asahi Glass Company) in the Lucina™-POF yields an attenuation lower than 20 dB/km and data rates up to 10 Gbit/s for 100 m POF (demonstrated by Lucent Technologies and the Nexans Research Center Lyon).
